Meet Your Reflexology Practitioner

I’m Louise, the proud owner of Louise Murphy Reflexology (LMR). Thank you for stopping by! Founded in 2016, my reflexology practice is conveniently located in the village of Boolteens, Castlemaine, Co. Kerry.

As a child, I grew up surrounded by natural healing, heavily influenced by my maternal grandmother who believed in the “old cures” & always had the “perfect remedy” to help us with all kinds of ailments! As I got older, I became interested in holistic health. I started using alternative therapies and natural products to honor my grandmother’s legacy. The more I learned, the more I saw that these approaches were about caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. I like to think of complimentary therapies (eg.reflexology) and traditional western medicine as a puzzle. Each piece has its own shape and purpose, and when they fit together, they create a complete picture of health and well-being.

After enjoying the wonderful benefits of reflexology myself for many years, I chose to leave my career in financial services to embrace my passion for reflexology and complimentary therapies. I completed my official training with the Kerry School of Reflexology in Co.Kerry and I’ve never looked back! Over the past 9 years, I have attended many additional courses with highly qualified and experienced people: These include: Advanced Facial Reflexology, Facial Cupping, Baby Reflexology Instructor Training, Stone Reflexology, Fertility Reflexology, RLD Reflexology Lymph Drainage, Pregnancy & Ante Natal Reflexology, Indian Head Massage.

In my sessions, I aim to create a peaceful environment where clients can unwind and reconnect with themselves. I take the time to listen to their concerns, tailoring each session to address their specific needs—whether it be alleviating stress, improving circulation, or supporting the body’s natural detoxification processes. Lymph Reflexology (RLD)

RLD is an award winning reflexology technique which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. It works on the exact same principles as Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (Vodder Method) but the treatment is done entirely on the feet. Through her study, development and treatment of breast cancer patients with secondary lymphoedema, positive effects were found after one or more RLD treatments, and showed a considerable reduction in the volume of fluid being retained in the limb. Research and case studies have now shown RLD to be of benefit to anyone with Lymphoedema both primary and secondary The aim is to cause an effect on the lymphatic system in the body. It is a unique sequence that has been researched and developed by Sally Kay BSc (Hons), whilst working alongside nurses in the MLD clinic in Cardiff University Hospital.
